Feeling Low
I wish I could write that being a grandparent is a wonderful, exciting time in my life, but unfortunately that just isn't the case right now. I haven't gotten to see the baby since it was in the hospital and I'm not likely to for a long time unless the baby's mother has a change of heart and decides our family is worthy to see him.

Man, that sounds awful! I would think that the mother would want the help and support. Dear God, if I ever had a child, I'd leave it with everyone I knew for some rest, saying that the baby needed "exposure to all types of people, all the time." Ha! But seriously, what a bummer. I hope that relations with your daughter-in-law improve.
